Farnborough is a town in Hampshire, famous for its association with aviation; Farnborough is the home of Farnborough Aerodrome, Farnborough Airshow, the Royal Aircraft Establishment and the Air Accidents Investigation Branch. Farnborough is just a short distance from the M3, junctions 4 and 4A, whilst the main roads into the town centre are the A325 and A331. There are three railway stations in the town; Farnborough main railway station with services running to London Waterloo and Basingstoke; Farnborough North railway station links with Reading and Gatwick; North Camp station connects with Ash Vale.
Shopping, Restaurants and Leisure
Alongside a number of business parks and modern offices in the town centre, Farnborough has a wide range of shopping opportunities, restaurants and leisure activities. Farnborough’s main shopping centre is divided into three areas – Kingsmead, Queensmead and Princesmead. Kingsmead and Queensmead are being redeveloped and known as ‘The Meads’. To the south of Farnborough is North Camp village which has a range of independent retailers. West of the town and on the border of Frimley are two retail parks, Solartron and Blackwater.
There is a wide variety of hotels, bars, cafés, coffee shops and restaurants in and around Farnborough including Potters Inn, the Retro Coffee Shop, Poppins Café & Restaurant, the Crab & Anchor pub, the Aviator Brasserie and the Sarsen Stones pub.
