Transport Links
Hammersmith has two underground stations, both named Hammersmith. One is on the Circle and Hammersmith & City line whilst the other is on the Piccadilly and District lines. The latter underground station, known as ‘The Broadway Centre’, is part of a large office, retail and transport hub. Ravenscourt Park underground is within easy reach. The bus station is situated at Hammersmith Broadway and regular bus routes serve the area well.
Hammersmith is located on the A4 trunk road leading west out of London to the M4 motorway and Heathrow Airport. The Hammersmith Gyratory System, which is on the Hammersmith Flyover viaduct, is the main road junction in the area.
Shopping, Restaurants and Leisure
King Street is Hammersmith’s principle shopping street and is home to Kings Mall shopping centre, local convenience stores, independent retailers, the Town Hall, the Lyric Theatre and two hotels. There are further shops along Shepherds Bush Road, Fulham Palace Road and Hammersmith Road. There are plenty of pubs, restaurants, bars, cafés and coffee shops for office workers to choose from including the Red Lion, Cibo, Adam’s Café, Café Continente and The Harwood Arms.
