Cambridge is adjacent to the M11 and A14 road, and the journey to London King’s Cross from Cambridge is just an hour. Several bus routes serve the city and surrounding areas, and five Park and Ride locations operate seven days a week. Cambridge Airport provides regular flights to Jersey and European destinations.
Cambridge railway station has direct links to London King’s Cross, Liverpool Street and St Pancras, connecting with the Eurostar, ideal for companies renting offices in the area. Trains also run to nearby towns and cities including King’s Lynn, Birmingham, Peterborough, Leicester, Stansted Airport and Gatwick Airport. A second railway station, Cambridge North, was opened in 2017 and a third station has been proposed.
Shopping and Restaurants
Cambridge’s first shopping centre, Bradwell’s Court, arrived in 1962 and more followed at Lion Yard and the Grafton Centre. There are a plethora of high street shops, fashion boutiques, brand names and department stores, such as John Lewis, The White Company and River Island, as well as cafés, bars and eateries.
